Beekeeping could be an industry that protects environments and provides livelihoods

They contribute to food security and nutrition, sustainable agriculture, biodiversity conservation and environmental protection. In addition, beekeeping and production of honey and related products provide livelihoods, especially in developing countries, that can empower women and youth."
