Prenatal genetic tests could result in false positives / negatives and have government regulation

"The biggest problem with prenatal genetic testing is providers not telling patients what the test is and *more importantly* what it is not. A screening test is very different from a diagnostic test and no decisions about care should be made based on screening results. At the end of the day, this is a failure of our prenatal care. Patients should not be expected to do their own reading about tests their doctor recommends."
