Espresso could be in a pocket to-go
By Hicbd
"But first, let’s meet Pocket Espresso. These little containers are a liquid mix of the original Pocket Coffee : real espresso and dark chocolate. The flavor of Pocket Espresso isn’t a big surprise – it tastes like a melted Pocket Coffee, though some claim the chocolate flavor isn’t as strong."

By Hicbd
"Seeing an unmet need, UConn researcher Al Kasani, working with Technology Commercialization Services (TCS) and the university’s Center for Clean Energy Engineering (C2E2), has developed a new off-grid technology that allows a tent’s internal temperature to cool up to 20°F below the ambient temperature. The tent requires just one external element to function, one that is typically found in abundance around campsites: water. A single gallon of water can power the tent’s cooling technology for up to 24 hours."

"Through her work with USAID, Yasmin trains justice promoters (SWLA also calls them community paralegals), and community volunteers on Somalia’s different legal systems. These groups serve as frontline legal workers helping community members navigate the justice systems in Somalia. The program focuses on marginalized groups including women, ethnic minorities, the elderly, and children. But it also helps the entire community because it has led to educating men and clan elders on issues affecting women such as gender-based violence and gender norms."

"The Regret Minimization Framework is simple. The goal is to minimize the number of regrets in life. So when faced with a difficult decision:
Project yourself forward into the future.
Look back on the decision.
Ask "Will I regret not doing this?"
Act accordingly."

"Nearly one-third of single moms were jobless for a full year, and less than a quarter of the unemployed single moms were eligible for receiving unemployment benefits. Single moms need access to stable employment. Companies and recruiters should consider single mothers as a worthwhile investment into their workforce."

"Domenech and the Travis Manion Foundation, an organization that helps veterans and surviving families thrive in their post-military lives, conceived The Honor Project, an annual Memorial Day event that expands Domenech's work on a grander scale. The project draws volunteers from all over the country to place Flags of Valor at gravesites, say aloud the name of each person and reflect on their sacrifices. So far, volunteers have visited the graves of more than 5,000 fallen soldiers across seven cemeteries. This year, organizers hope to grace more than 10,000 gravesites across 14 public military cemeteries."

"In South Korea, grim stories of teen suicide come at a regular clip. Recently, two 16-year-old girls in the city of Daejeon jumped to their deaths, leaving a note saying, "We hate school."...A race to succeed so intense it can have tragic consequences. And there are social consequences, too. Many parents say they chose not to have more children because supporting all the cramming simply costs too much."
