By Hicbd
"If you’re a pub owner in Ireland, you are affiliated with Guinness. One of the terms of that relationship is that every three weeks you’ll receive a visit from a Guinness representative who will flush the lines to your Guinness taps. Pub owners are supposed to do that on their own, but some are lazy about it and Guinness doesn’t want to take any chances. If the lines aren’t flushed, the brew will be compromised."

"In India, it is quite common to see men holding hands while walking down the street or sitting together on a park bench. It’s a traditional way of expressing non-sexual affection, friendship, and camaraderie. For those unfamiliar with this cultural norm, it might seem strange or even make them feel uncomfortable. However, for Indian men, holding hands is a gesture of non-sexual affection that signifies a deep bond between two people."

"However, a small but vocal group of pediatricians and nurses, led by the nonprofit Fed Is Best, has begun to criticize some of the strategies that Baby-Friendly hospitals use, arguing that not only do they unduly pressure mothers to breastfeed, but that the designation also may not improve breastfeeding rates in the first year of life as intended...On the Fed Is Best website, parents and health care providers tell stories of babies who were dropped or nearly suffocated by exhausted moms trying to breastfeed."

Please login to commentToddler formula could be unhealthy
By Hicbd
"Given the lack of regulation, it's not surprising that there is wide variation in the composition of toddler formulas. But what is particularly worrisome, says the AAP, is that some of these products are actually unhealthy. They may have too little or too much protein, or have added sweeteners. These added sweeteners can build a child's "sweet tooth" and set them on the path to obesity. Additionally, toddler formulas are more expensive than cow's milk, creating a financial burden for families — one that is definitely not worth it."
