Just something I've been working on
Step 1. Idea
Problem: We're living in a world full of intolerance, judgement, and discrimination. Everyone has an opinion or view about something. These views are based on our values and ideals we've learned from parents, friends, religion, race, financial status, personal situations, teachers, idols, role models, and the things that we consider most important to us. All of that makes perfectly good sense. But what isn't right is that just because we have these beliefs we always think we're right and someone else is wrong. We don't take the time to open our minds and think about what factors are affecting the persons opinion on the opposite side of the argument. We shield ourselves from the full picture. Just because I have an opinion doesn't mean it holds any more weight than someone else's that is different. We need to take in the views from everyone, from every angle. Being different isn't bad. Its a different perspective. We should take into account all of these differences and use them to make informed decisions that will benefit mankind in an effort to bring happiness to everyone. We've put people on the moon, grown limbs from stem cells, given vision to blind. We have devices at our fingertips that can do almost any task we ever need. We've found ways to share a picture of our gym session with the world in the click of a button but we haven't created a convienent, fair, simple way to give everyone a voice on what means them post to them.
Step 2. Solution
My idea is to make an app made to give an voice to anyone who feels passionately enough about something that they want to be heard. I want to create a debate app where people give their arguments on chosen social issues with the intent of finding solutions that best benefit everyone. There will be a way to screen arguments for slander, name calling, and fake facts. It'll be ran close to the way a college debate is structured. That's the idea in a nutshell without going into details. If it works the way that I really hope it will then that means there's a possibility of bring about change by providing anyone with an insight to other people's beliefs, their struggles, what drives them, their values, and how they're affected by factors we might recognize or identify with. If we can get to a point where people respect each other for our differences and use those differences to make better informed decisions we could get back on a successful path for mankind.

Garbage system upheaval - Sell your "foodjuice"

I have 5 trash cans in my kitchen each a different size, serving different functions. It has helped me reuse recycle and minimize the amount of garbage my family expels.
My idea is a trashcan that takes all food scraps and grinds them down to a juice. This juice can be used in our own gardens, can be collected by a company and sold for profit, or whatever its purposes. I urge businesses to do the same with all the food they throw away (required; instead of using it to feed the poor)
Lets go world. Invent, build and share for free...make it happen. Open a door of blessings from God for not wasting his bounty.

Nonprofit for Consumer Contracts Reviews

Problem: Consumers are signing on to increasing numbers of complicated binding contracts that they don't understand. Contracts and EULAs for cell phone plans, credit cards, devices, web sites, etc, have gotten more and more complicated and more restrictive. As the fine print gets finer, and the text gets longer, consumers are no longer able to really understand what they are agreeing to. They lose money being locked into contracts, lose their rights, and may make a choice the does not benefit them. They can't afford to hire an attorney to review each contract, yet the company proposing the contract can afford to hire many, and spread that cost, especially if the contracts are written extract extra revenue from unaware consumers. The incentive to make complex contracts is high. This has been the trend, and its getting worse, reducing consumer power and creating a negative consumer experience.
Solution: A non-profit impartial web site that hires attorneys to review a product or service's contracts and summarizes them from the consumer's point of view. They could use a system of criteria rankings based on length of contract commitment, expected cost over lifetime, cost of cancelling plan, cost of making changes to plan, rights lost by consumer, frequency of contract changes, etc. In each category (cell plans, credit cards, etc) Companies could be ranked by these criteria. Consumers could go to the site to check the rankings before picking a plan. This would help them decide whether the restrictive contract is worth agreeing to. The site will be a third party, so they will be able to trust the advice. Maybe companies will be influenced by this site and start competing more on simplifying their contracts, since it increases the incentive to simplify the contracts. This will equalize the playing field and empower consumers.

Sporting events donated a portion of their sales to charity.

I've heard so many times about how much football players make. Who REALLY needs 20 millions dollars a year as a salary?
I'm not saying that being an professional athlete isn't hard work...but imagine if sporting events, like bowl games and super bowls and places that make a ridiculous amount of money for their investors, were required to donate just 5% of their proceeds to a certain charity- and that would be disclosed to ticket buyers.
Or even further, where professional athlete salaries were capped and everything above that line was given to community members like teachers, social workers and police officers who work just as hard but make a very small fraction of the football salary.

The athlete has to pay for agents, managers, PR, injuries, etc so in reality they're not making anywhere near what their contract states. Unless you are Peyton Manning or someone of that stature you're most likely bringing home what a top doctor brings home. The franchises, owners, investors, etc make so much off of events and turn the audiences eyes to point shame and blame on their athletes, whom only play for a few years at most. It should be those blood sucking leeches at the top that give back to the community. |

The Sincrosis Theory: Warp travel and Teleportation
This theory of warp travel, or rather teleportation hinges upon technology that mankind is currently capable of, oriented upon man’s present abilities rather than those of future speculated. 3D printing and signal amplifying satellites, these are the aspects of Sincrosis, these are the aspects of teleportation, a concept that may at present seem unnatural, impossible, unlikely. Yet as this document is further perused, evermore knowledge shall suffuse your mind, and with evermore clarity shall you behold its contents.
Chapter I: Basic Function
As the Sincrosis drive is activated, diamond edged blades shred and catalogue the crew as the ship is disassembled and stored within the transmitter segment, whereupon the data that represents both crew and vessel is transmitted to the receiving segment which reconstructs both. Yet of superior difficulty, is the reconstruction of the human brain, for without proper reconstruction of this vessel, the subject would cease to remain themselves, and as such the crew’s minds are fully modeled and tested several months prior, each wrinkle and the pattern by which it was forged, reactivated by introducing their own cerebral fluid to induce polarization of the brain cells due to the ionized nature of brain fluid. Should this effort prove successful, a flesh version is hewn (patterns reconstructed by a cycling influx of polarized cerebral fluid or electrical impulses, or even printing the mind with heretofore polarized cells that are cloned via stem cells from the subject’s own body, and mimic the wrinkles and generally knotted shape of their oblong neural organ. Thus, once the crew and their vessel are reforged, each is far from simply a precise clone of their previous edition, rather the synapses that haunted their mind even directly previous to the diamond blade’s dissection of the brain, is stimulated and translated, thoughts themselves reborn as the creature is printed, since the human subject’s own synapses are fully copied, and they are born of tissue cultured from this subject’s mind which is stimulated to perfectly mimic that of its host.
