Families could have a mission statement

"Emily Oster, an economist and parenting expert, recommends that families create a mission statement to help them: Articulate their values, Make decisions, and Ground themselves when day-to-day decisions feel overwhelming.
Oster's guidelines for creating a family mission statement include:
- Purpose: Articulate your family's big-level values
- Single sentence: Write down an overarching mission statement
- Main goals: Write down three main goals for your children
- Priorities for you: Write down three priorities for you, things you care about
- Activities: Write down three activities you see as must do on (most) weekdays"
