rBST, rBGH, and artificial growth hormones could be banned from use with cows

Though it is not clear what affect these hormones have on human health, studies have shown negative affects in bovine health such as clinical mastitis, lameness, and reproductive disorders.
"rBST has not been allowed on the market in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Israel and all European Union countries (currently numbering 27), by 2000 or earlier."
