How U.S. Policing / Law Enforcement could be different



Police chases could be limited to violent offenders / safer

Police cars could be bulletproof

Squatters could not have rights / abilities to stay on properties

911 response times could be better

Paintballs / spray paint / non-fatal weapons could be used instead of bullets

Illegal marijuana growers / cartels could be stopped in California

Elite police units could have less aggression / more experience / oversight

Restraining orders could be stronger / have consequences / psych evaluations

U.S. students could not be arrested for minor offenses / have unnecessarily negative experiences with school police

Solutions could reduce U.S gun violence / suicides

Citizens with any history of mental illness / violent internet posts / dangerous histories / no references could not obtain guns

NYC could use legal "stop and frisk," better utilize police, and/or use weapon scanning technology in the subway

Hackers could help find missing people

Rape / sexual assault police and FBI investigations could be improved

Conflict mediation programs could build trust between police and citizens / lower crime

Eyewitness identification, custodial interrogation / recording, judge bias, access to post-conviction DNA testing, evidence preservation, public defense funding / quality, plea bargains, and forensic science could improve to prevent wrongful convictions

Warning signs / threat detection of mass shooters could be encouraged to be reported, information effectively shared, and then acted upon

Police training / response to gender-based violence could improve

Massage parlors could be regulated to prevent abuse

Police could have athletic / activities leagues
